Here's my potentially great find for today ... a dozen beautiful luncheon plates
    P1100225(1).JPG
and at $1 each ... a nice buy even without this mark

Oh ... good grief! I meant to type ... I suspect that I'll regret NOT buying it (that desk) over the next few days! and ... you know what? We do ... my husband and I have mentioned it a couple of dozen times already since Sunday! When will we learn <shaking head>?

Love those blue plates and the spirit ball!

I haven't been out much... did hit an estate sale last year, and I just got around to putting this mirror up in the spare bedroom. Pink stained glass, $5 (the room is pink!)

I found two new thrift shops, and I think there is a third I have been missing, will hunt soon. These were from two different thrift shops, one new, the sterling marlin pin for $1, and the Jezlaine sterling cat for $4.

I was only thinking the other day that of all the house clearances I have done, I`ve never yet come across any decent fountain pens, not one.

Then low and behold I get two at once.
Both heavy Sterling Silver made by "Yard O Led"
    with 18k white gold nib.
Not old though, hallmarked Birmingham 2013.
    EDIT.
Just seen these for RRP £325 each

WOOT! In the words of the footie announcer, Goaaaaaaaal!

Just got this in the mail a few days ago. It was sold as silvertone and glass. Try silver and lab-created alexandrite. Alexandrite glass is blue under fluorescent lighting and purple in natural light. The lab stone is blue/green in natural light and purple under incandescent. This is the best I can do getting a shot of the blue color.

Today's find in a Goodwill was a Lennox plate (no big deal) with a heavy sterling applied charger rim (bigger deal). Pried the rim off so I can donate the plate. Call it six ounces of silver. Cost of plate? Two bucks.

Some knick knacks I found in a box in a garage today of one of our houses. Haven't got to look into them, but I don't think either are that old. image.jpeg image.jpeg image.jpeg image.jpeg image.jpeg

Your second item is Belleek, with the green mark used from 1955 to 1965 ... so, while not technically 'antique' not all that new either :)

Thanks! Is it like a little fancy flower pot for the worlds smallest plant?

    Whittle, I think that's Belleek's "2nd green mark" from 1955-1965:

The item itself may be called Irish Belleek Pierced Basket Weave & Rose Flower Pot/Vase.

Unfortunately Belleek has been so over-produced over the last couple of decades and is now so readily available that you may be lucky to get $20 for it. It's a shame, because the quality of older Belleek can be so nice...
