Looks like a take-off on the Aztec or Mayan calendar, Lloyd. Souvenir, no doubt.

I was thinking Souvenir of Mexico too. But someone will like it; it's bright and decorative. BTW - speaking of whatsits, does anyone know who made this little wild goose chase-bait pin? It's enameled brass or copper with no marks at all on the back. It's been around a while. MSM MMS SMM? DSCF0661 (800x718).jpg

I picked up a Juicy Fruit 3 quart fruit press, complete and in pretty nice condition and 6 of these Mr Peanut glasses. Still have to figure out if they are fakes or not. I found a couple of glasses with the same decal that were issued for the 1954 plant opening in San Francisco but mine don't have the printing on them.

so i wrote (emailed ) todd fendos (the maker of the repos) and asked him " Hello i was wondering if you ever did Picasso's Dora Maar with bird on a chair for anyone in canada ?and he wrote back
    Hi Randy,
That probably is correct. I may be the only artist creating chairs like this. I have sent a few to Canada and I create more Picasso themed chairs that other. Just curious, have you seen one, or do you know the person who has it? My signature should be on the left side if you are sitting in the chair. Todd,
    I wrote back
yes i have it and i don't believe it is one of yours it
doesn't have any other signatures except
picasso's and sent pictures of it , he wrote back
That one is not mine...very cool chair. Congrats, Todd

I;m telling you guys and gals I'm going to make history with this chair i know what it is ,and what it says it is lol who else on earth could have done this and why is there not more , it is his picture his name and his prints what more does a guy need for the experts to believe lol

just have to bide my time until the museum in saskatoon opens this year

I can't get my email to send my pics.... here are a few. I went to an antique show yesterday, found this for $10, sterling vermiel baroque pearl ring for $10.

The Anne Klein necklace was a whole $2 at the show. I found the 14k and jade? pendant on a Joan Rivers chain at an antique mall, $6. The Chapel sterling medallion on a white GF chain was $7 at the same antique mall.

Why do you call that a baroque pearl? Looks fairly spherical to me. Just asking.

The bottom of the Mr. Peanut glass looks thick to me. I think that tumblers from pre-1960s usually had thin bottoms. That may be a hasty generalization.

Here are couple pieces I found on Etsy. These came from the same seller in Holland. The first piece is a Welz Posy Vase in the "Stripes and Spots" decor.
The second piece is an Atomizer. It was described as being Orange and Black Glass (That would have led me to think Kralik for a manufacturer) Unfortunately, the black is painted on so finding out who made it is going to almost impossible. I'll be looking for a black bulb to restore this.

Well....that auction ( u no the 1 ...) was a mess , but I stayed till the end to try and snag a couple of rarely seen fish wackers.
The Northwest Coast 1st Nations people decorated everything , whether it was ceremonial or for everyday use , and clubs used to dispatch caught salmon and halibut were no exception .
While these are not museum grade examples , they are in fine condition, & deserve a place in any good NWC collection.

They're both around 18 inches long and described as early to mid 20 th Century, possibly Nootka, from Vancouver Island.
Both show honest wear from use.
I just couldn't pass them bye...........

And I've heard it said that if you fall asleep on the beach in a Nootka neighborhood you'll probably be covered in basketry before you wake up....
Nice fish clubs, I love a good patina.....

I don't think that Flower Frog is the original. It does fit, but keeps sliding up slightly (you can see in the pic it is not seated all the way down)
