Dunno, but it's almost 4:20 here! (LOL) I have MS so can get a legal CT prescription for some if I'm ever that desperate. Maybe someone should make sure that's just oregano?

I don't think I have posted to this thread for a while, so here are a few items.
21" West German floor vase, haven't looked for the maker yet,
2 creepy dolls, also from West Germany (Goebel). Looks like they were only made for 1 year, 1957.
2 large trolls Denmark 1961. I thought the hair had been cut on the one but looks like it is original.

    Hi,
Your red heads made by Gobel where done by an artist (geeesh the name just flew the coop) she designed red headed figurines also. Dabnabit, the name is on the tip of my tongue. I know I sold three of them.

    GaleriaGila Hola, y'all!

True story... my mother says I was about 3 when I saw my first REDHEAD. She says I cried and ran.
I think I thought this would fit in with the Chuckie/troll thing...

Not quite sure what I have here but bound in one large compendium hardback are the relevant parts of original magazines (mostly serialized and making up full stories/articles and possibly forming the first printed/published editions) which include:
    • Strand-The Lost World
    • Strand-The Maracot Deep
    • Strand-The Land of Mist
    • Strand-Sir Nigel
    • Strand-British Campaign in France
    • Pearsons-The Armies of The world
    • Pearsons-Battle of Waterloo (Belloc)
    • Nashs-Discovery of the North Pole (Peary)
    • Pall Mall- The War in the Air (Wells)
Illustration is New York (?) under attack from German air fleet from the last story.

It was very common in the 19th century and early 20th for people to have magazines bound together. Usually they'd put together all issues for a single year or, if the magazines were issues weekly, all issues for a segment of the year.

Pat, have seen quite a few like that but this one is different in having only the parts of the magazines relating to the books which were then bound together (with other magazine story parts) to form a compendium of books by Conan Doyle etc.

Latest of these was 1920s, earliest about 1905 so bound some while after publication
