Oooooo. I once had a ServiceMaster biz. Went to a nice home in a nice area to see if I could get the cat pee out of the wood floor. Moved the 5k clouch and............

when I was a kid , my cat clawed the back of Moms sofa right through to the wood frame.
The folks chastised the cat , recovered the sofa and 8 months later it looked exactly the same as before .....with the wood frame clawed into even worse than before.

    I loved that cat !

LOL - that's one reason I don't recover fabric furniture. Their royal furrinesses think nice new pieces are scratching posts.

Got this stuff, and more, yesterday at good deals.
    >7" long green glass double chicken egg cup (hard boiled egg holder?) Perfect, only manufacturer's flaws. $2 Anyone know anything about it?
    > 9" long Vee Jackson ceramic box with small chip inside and some things I found I can't clean off because the 'dry brush' technique is on the surface. $2
    > Wiss flower shears. Virtually perfect in the box with instructions, display ideas and catalog of other items available. Zone 7 Newark, NJ. $1 (worth about 30 as found)
    > 6" long PAL cap gun never fired. Not sure if it is missing its orange plug or not. $1
    > next post > 'Strength in Service' pin (haven't found anything on it yet) and filthy :( group of Campaign ribbons which I haven't researched yet and they are likely old unless Vietnam is the one missing. $1

Smooth, thick microfiber coverings work well with cats, but they don't make them very thick anymore.

I found this today. I posted another thread about it. I think it is Navajo sterling with some gold overlay and turquoise. I have not idea... it is marked sterling. Comments anybody? HELP!

KingofThings, I have an old pair of Wiss flower shears which I found at an estate or yard(?) sale 15 or 20 years ago. I could not do without them. They truly do not crush even the most delicate stem on a flower or greenery and leave all flower and greenery stems open and capable of taking in/absorbing water in a vase or other container.

I saw similar designs on Ruby Land while researching that were Navajo... and Navajo jewelry tends to be larger.

I don't know if it's navajo but the turquoise could be damale(sp) or a rare form of varicite, I forget the name.

and yet, the Zuni do it all the time. Wonder why that is?
sorry for the slight tangent here.

edit to say ... I didn't mean they literally always did it all the time ... sort of a colloquialism ... I meant that they often sign like that.
