    Been slim

I went 220 kilometers Thursday with many stops

    One minor purchase

Friday was mostly tied up with getting a vehicle repaired

This morning I just had time for one early sale

They listed a bunch of great stuff

Got there to find out it was a relisted ad and all that stuff sold a couple weeks ago

Stopped by another along the way home

It was pouring rain and the line was still outside

    Went home without stopping

About 1:00 I had a chance to go back by that one

After a couple hundred people had been through all I found was a couple $3 items

Terry, that ID bracelet brings back memories. Seeing the inscription makes me wonder if Rich and Peachy stayed together.

Thanks, Messi. I was under no illusions about age. I was thinking 60's at the absolute earliest anyway. Anything younger than me isn't old.

    Hi Pat,
The smallest was maybe 5 foot long and 4 ft wide. The biggest was the size of a pickup. It seems that upstream there was cliff that the water broke off pieces. The locals had picked the stream clean over the years of smaller pieces. The boulders were protected or I might have smashed one to get a smaller piece. As it was a bought a three pounder to bring home from a different area. It was expensive at the time, I think I paid 5 bucks for it. It was about 8"by 4". Joyce, a friend who was into making jewelry pestered me for months until I agreed. She did make me a really nice ring as well as paying 50 bucks for it.

    Terry,
Go over the bracelet carefully. I had one in the junk drawer for years until I found a tiny sterling mark on it. It was so heavy I thought it was steel.

Doesn't it say sterling next to Peachy? Or am I seeing something else?

And hey Terry......kilometers? Where exactly are you LOL!

Just sterling - no maker. 42 grams.

The kilometers are on a Chinese scooter. About 250km per gallon.

Ah, too bad there's no mark. It's unusual enough that maybe you'll still be able to figure out who made it.

    Hi Terry,
Sorry I did not see the photo with sterling on it. On mine it was on the fourth link from the clasp, not a place I would think to check. lol

Okay, sorry to bug you guys, but how do I upload a picture to this forum? :)

Figtree3 What would you do if you weren't afraid?

There is a button "Upload a File" at the bottom of the box where you write a message. Click on that and you can upload from your computer. Click "Full Image" for a larger version of the pic to show. You can also click Thumbnail and then others will have to click the thumbnail to see the full size.
