    From a clearance today.

The first looks to be an unused Ukulele.

That guitar sort of looks like one my brother had decades ago.

Not I. I went out to two thrifts today and spent 00.00. May I have better luck at a neighborhood sale tomorrow and one next week.

Well, she had 25 boxes but not 1 piece of Depression glass. They were 25 boxes of china, tea pots and very recent wooden kitch. The jewelry was a small Tupperware container with 1 ring, 3 loose diamonds and some Chico’s jewelry.

    I am not a happy camper :(

I'm sorry to hear this. Did you buy the ring and diamonds? My one thrift shop must have gotten a huge donation of Chicos jewelry, and they have marked up it ridiculously. I go in and buy sterling earrings for $3, they want $10 for any Chicos earrings. Go figure.

I visited an antique mall that I usually visit once a month. I should have gone earlier in the month because a dealer who had fabulous jewelry (albeit very highly-priced) is having a 75% off retirement sale. the most expensive piece you see here is the blue Venetian faux lapis at $11. Prices were mostly $9 and $10.

Finally found some goodies today. Took pictures but don't have them off of the camera yet. 9k setting shell cameo, jade earrings, sterling etc. Found a pretty glass JG Durand sailboat too; it's a friend's Christmas present. NIP socks too - headed straight to donation.

This one looks like what I found, but at a silly price. Should be about $20-30. Paid $5.

No, the ring was nothing special and I just wanted to get home. The house call was an hour’s drive away!

I know you wanted to throw that bowl of jewelry straight at her head!!:facepalm::banghead::banghead::banghead:

I've gone on a couple of these types of calls & I know there are others here who have had the same type of experience.:p:arghh:

However, if you hadn't gone you would have forever envisioned the "treasures" you missed out on getting. ;):hilarious:

From CShops and a fete. The faceted heart is a ruby, the beads probably are too. 9ct cameo earrings. The costume beads are flaking in places but I liked the green stones catch.

We all have these bad days...waste of gas and time. It's part of treasure-hunting. You have found many, many beautiful things and will continue to do so. Maybe next time you can get a seller to text you pictures. Can't hurt to ask.
