I actually love Featherlite. And I love the snifter, great color.

Thanks. It's a pretty thing. BTW - the total turned out to be seven bakelite bangles. The overpainted and carved one tests positive. The brick red one is just acrylic, to no one's surprise. It didn't test, and sounded wrong too.

That tea bowl is late eighteenth or earlier.

I'll have to get some. My camera batteries were about to die and the pix go fuzzy when that happens. I knew it was SOMETHING, just not what, and made for export since no self-respecting Chinese person wanted a handle or to pour tea into a bowl. Or to add stuff to it. (can't blame 'em there!)

It may not even be Chinese. It has the look of Liverpool or maybe new hall to it.

I wondered about that too. Didn't have time to deal with it today; I got my annual mammogram instead. It was good for a few laughs, the robe they gave me was so small I couldn't close it, and see ya' next year. But...getting some shots of that cup and dish would have been more fun.

i'd have a home for the poodle too. Nice haul.

Found this guy on Thursday. The chain was junk, but the little sailboat looks mostly hand-soldered... and it's marked 18 karat! The stone wants to be coral, but I think it's actually plastic.

Wow! I wouldn't give up on the stone being genuine something.

I paid $25 for everything I bought. The pendant weighs about 5g with the "stone". Came out ahead no matter what it is. I once found a Chinese 22k pendant with a plastic stone, so you never know, but this is marked Italy if somewhat illegibly..

The Italy mark makes coral a bit more likely.

It doesn't really look or feel like it, even under a real loupe.
