The cups are Russel Wright for Steubenville. There is one McCoy planter with underplate. The big fan vase and the large green planter in the bottom pic are Haeger. I think the shell is as well. The green vase with the square handles is Pfaltzgraff. The special piece is the blue one with purple overglaze. A bit unusual glaze for this company. Probably my best pottery find for cheap ever. Anyone know?

I totally agree that it is no doubt an older mark of Joy-Mex. I was just pointing out that Hougart had Joy-Mex. I'm sorry I didn't word my reply better. Here's another Joy-Mex Aztec warrior marks.

    Is the good one marked?
Not Van Briggle, Teco, Greuby, or such by any chance? Nor Hampshire, or Marblehead. It's not Rookwood is it? I've seen some pretty unusual pieces of Rookwood over the years.
It's thrown and modeled, not molded, right?
Looks a little on the heavy side. (Wall thickness.)
    Is it regional to you?
Great lookin' pot with a VERY cool glaze.

    Neat little Awaji vase too.

    Thanks, Brad!

You got some nice stuff there.

Teco #197 ;) (your lobed piece).

Not a clue about the purple vase, but I'm guessing it's older than it looks. Here's some of my haul for the day. The silver pin is Beau Sterling; it's ice skates. The cats are pewter. The helicopter isn't worth more than I paid, but it's local; I used to see that thing all the time when it still wore yellow paint. The owl stick pin is damaged but 14k. [IMG]
Thelma of course had to inspect everything. At least until I gave up trying to work and fed her.

And the winner issss...NUFF! Good work.

I looked at Teco but couldn't find the shape.

KILLER find with a KILLER glaze. GREAT find, Brad!
I've never had a piece of Teco.

Nuff got it. It is Teco. Nice large piece at just over 10" and a much more complex blue glaze than usually seen for Them. Teco is mostly molded and nearly always marked. This is double marked as many of their pieces are and the two marks in conjunction with each other looked confusing to all that looked at them .... except, I guess, me. Heard one guy say he thought it was marked in Asian characters. Here is the bottom.

They also had no clue about the Awaji that I got for $2.00. It does have a couple pretty good hairlines but can't complain for the money. Of course all the rusty farm stuff and dilapidated signs and the like brought big money at this auction. Heck, a galvanized wash tub on legs brought $170.00

There is a bit of discrepancy on the mold number for this vase. Treadway has sold a couple examples as #197. Just Art Pottery has it in their guide as #171. I don't have a Teco book so will have to do some more research.

For other information, the twisted green jardiniere is Bauer. Unfortunately, it also has a pretty good hairline crack but bought for $4.00. This and the Awaji are the only ones with any damage. The tall MCM flagon (?) is Italian and marked Nido. I have not found anything about this mark as of yet. I think that should identify everything in the photos now.

Great find, Brad! I bet you are thrilled to have gotten it for so little. :)
I've enjoyed looking at everyone's finds this week.
We are literally snowed in and have been since Monday. I'm in Tennessee and it's terrible here, more because of the ice than the snow. Now it's raining nonstop and while the snow is finally melting, we are seeing flood type activity. All the sales this week were canceled!

Figtree3 What would you do if you weren't afraid?

Evelyb30, I love the jewelry... what is the modernistic looking one in the middle bottom?

No idea - unmarked 80s goldtone and acrylic from the look of things. The cylinder has a letter opener knife and dip pen inside and a glass whatsit in the top; the lid is gone.

    Hi Brad,
I like the green two handled vase. Are those demi cups and saucers Russel Wright. They used to bring big bucks but less now. Sorry, there was a whole page showed up after I posted.
