If it's a straight acoustic you're good. Not sure I've ever seen an electric in the thrifts here. I did see an acoustic in the Ill Will, but it was a cheap piece of junk.

I rarely see any old electrics at the Shill Will-of course my memory after 45 yrs is so-so,must have seen a few in the old days.
This was a good buy,but-if I'd found an original 1959 Gibson Les Paul Standard in this condition,my profit margin would've gone from $500 up to 20-25K !
*Strange but true friends-just ask Clapton,Page,Beck,etc,etc....

Not quite the same, but close! They seem to have made a whole lot of lambs and bunnies over the years to cater to the Easter basket crowd.

Guitar Hero game controllers and kiddie toy guitars maybe, but that's it.

Those are mosaic frames rather than millefiori. Lovely.

My favorite GW guitar story: wife and I were on our way in to a local GW, and met an old friend coming out. He said "Look what I found!" and displayed a 1960s Martin 0-18. He'd bought it there for $150. Yes, it would need a couple hundred dollars worth of work....after which it would likely be worth several thousand bucks.
If we'd been ten minutes earlier, it would have been mine and not his.....

If I'd found it, a friend would have gotten it off of me for what I paid for it.(LOL)

You'll have to beat my buddy Uwe and my pastor to it. One of them will clap hands on first and yell dibs.(LOL)

I think I saw some of its friends today, but alas they were all just milk glass. Left them where I found them.

I found about 6 or so myself of Fenton milk glass. One a very cute banana shaped thing. I have one example of Fenton milk glass and that is enough for me This one is cased glass that is hard for me to resist

The Silver Crest basket, or am I confused? Silver Crest is not cased glass. Sorry if I'm mixed up

Found this lovely little powder compact a few days ago. The blue areas in the image are foiled but the lovely iridescence doesn't show up in my photos. It's in good condition although the bottom shows signs of wear & tear. Would I be right in thinking that it is 1920s/1930s?

My mistake. You are right. Milk glass with clear glass ribbon. I guess I have two Fenton milk glass pieces.

@KikoBlueEyes - If you like the Silver Crest pattern you need to find yourself a piece or 2 of Fenton Crystal Crest.:smuggrin:

If you are not familiar with this one it was the precursor of the Silver Crest pattern. The difference between the two patterns is that there is an edging of milk glass on the edge of the clear glass.:happy:

The link below shows an example in the fourth row. :D:D
