Lumii_20230724_185322353.jpg No jewelry, sigh, but I did spend enough on jewelry this month already. It's ironic that I have been decluttering and took four big boxes of books to a thrift Saturday that I bought more books. The small vintage cookbooks were 25 cents each and five for a dollar. At the Restore place, books were four for a dollar and then I got a 10% senior discount (furniture pics in a few days.) The picture frame is not truly vintage, but it's a very htf size, $1.

The big blue book has some great recipes. My husband sighed when I bought books, but I pointed out they are cookbooks and in that area, hope springs eternal.

Marko just to give you a heads up, if you happen to find a booklet from the Culinary Arts Institute featuring Italian cuisine, that is a very good seller. I see you have one that is French food from Culinary Arts.

Thank you! I just love the covers on these. I keep looking for the older Betty Crocker and Julia Child books, too.

And it is going NOWHERE, right? It's from Shop-Rite so would be a cross-collectible.

It's a keeper. Filled with basic peasant style Italian food. I have made many of the recipes in it. I think MIL got it from the local grocery store.
She marked it "1960" inside the cover.

Some supermarkets even put out their own. I have one somewhere from Julia Waldbaum, aka Waldbaum's supermarkets. They were a CT chain that sold out to A&P before it went under. My dad found it somewhere.

We had Waldbaum's out here and in Brooklyn. As well as the A&P.
I bought some of those POS cookbooklets in my younger years. Mostly baking stuff.
The booklets are so fragile from use they often fall apart easily from use and storage.

I have more here from the Culinary Arts that I picked up at a few sales that are vintage.
