    On a brighter note, no jewelry, but I found this never-worn beauty for $10 at a thrift. It's a keeper, so comfy, I love it. Googling, I found out it is a yakata.

    I forgot the earrings were 2 euros and the celtic pendant was 18ish cents, so a bit more than that :hilarious: But I'm very pleased indeed!

    Grrrrr. Seen that movie before. Chaps my drawers every time. That estate sale that hit back this weekend had a little jewelry. All new and mostly costume. All but the sterling was still there the second day "Oh but it's designer". ....designer who didn't sign it, and new. No thanks. The sterling was marked but not signed either. Those were the only two pieces that sold. They were both modern and priced over melt, so of no interest to me.

    OTOH I was cleaning some stuff out and what should appear but one of the Haley's Comet pins. It's glass and gold-filled and pretty tiny, but for the pennies I probably paid I don't care.

    I tested it. 100% glass, but cushion-cut glass.

    Yes, 1998 date. Don’t think it’s Peter Rabbit and I don’t know the copyright maker RD or HBROS. Sorry about the grubby white tack it picks up every tiny bit of dust.

    Doesn't the RD stand for registered?

    RD isn't registered in this context, it's got a copyright symbol and date, so someone with the initials RD copyrighted it in 1996.

    Hmmmm….

    back in the nineties, royal doulton did some cutlery and silver pieces. And they did Bunnykins.

    I surmise that came from a baby gift set too.

    I tried finding one myself & had no luck so that is why I asked about a mark. It certainly looked like the image of Peter & I was surprised that I didn't see any more.

    I have a friend who has been collecting Peter Rabbit literally her entire life. Her father was USAF & was stationed in England back in the early 1960s. Her mother bought the Mopsy, Flopsy & Cottontail figurine one day & the rest is history.

    Thanks @Houseful!! :happy::kiss:

    Has the needlepoint worn away, or did someone forget the background stitching? I like the shape of the bag and the clasp.

    It’s worn away I think. I don’t mind that, it still looks good. If I had the patience I’d restitch it .
