Unfortunately I've come across people like that as well. I'd put money on if you were a man he wouldn't have done that, my wife has had similar problems and they back down/change their mind when I turn up. They think women are only buying on emotion/prettiness and don't believe they know value/technical aspects. It's a bit like many mechanics with women, sad but misogyny still happens a lot.

He knows me well. He knows I know my jewelry. To be fair, he would have done this to a man. He's just greedy. I think it was more personal than anything else. He hates that I treasure hunt and find what he doesn't.

I agree especially regarding car mechanics. With two men there’s always the possible physical confrontation aspect of disagreement with the another man which they know usually isn’t the same if it’s a woman. Testosterone etc

The other little things I found yesterday. The crystal earrings are very sparkly, open back, made well. $5.

Finally had a half decent day at a vintage fair, just from two stalls though. All for a few pounds each, most was £18 or thereabouts:

That mall owner better remember not to cheese off a dragon, or said dragon's human. "for you are crunchy and good with ketchup".

Love that dragon ring ! I picked up this 38x18 window(?) today at hoodwill . I was astonished it wasnt damaged and it is sorta wobbly. No cracks,no chips and no scratches. I thought perhaps Mission style, newish but it certainly is pretty !

Definitely newer, but Piet Mondrian would approve.

Nice - based on the 1912 Frank Lloyd Wright 'Coonley Playhouse' windows:

Went to an outdoor antique show. Not a lot of jewelry, but I hit a regular seller when she had just set up. Scored some cool stuff, nothing super valuable. Pics soon, it hit 80 today and I am wiped out. Hope you all found treasures, too.

Went to an outdoor sale yesterday too, a legit car boot. The humidity was foul and it felt screaming hot. Paid for it big-time last night. MS and that sort of weather do NOT mix. Not in the slightest.

I am sorry. I have to be really careful, too, because the heat and humidity trigger my afib. I heard a cooling vest helps....I am going to look into it. To boot, I decided to wear jeans instead of shorts. Duh.
