Pietra dura was another possible, but those often had black backgrounds. I guess since since it's long gone we'll never be sure.

If you're thinking Mats Jonasson Maleras on the squirrel, it isn't. Which doesn't mean I can remember who it is though.

It's got a Jonasson sticker on it, but the glass itself is signed with a name and Finland. It's a go-figure, and will be headed to a squirrely (his term for it) friend's house sooner or later.

That's weird. Are you sure it says Finland? Not that I'm impugning your eyesight!

I was wrong. The siggie is still illegible and Finland ain't it. It just looked more like Finland than anything else.

It's kinda my lucky day. Three pieces of Pueblo pottery for cheap, the best of which is this 4" feather motif by Blue Corn of San Ildefonso.

Nice! I'll have to get a photo of the marks for Bear tomorrow when I've got daylight.

:):shame::happy:This just arrived in the mail today. I forget what I paid for it, so it can’t have been much, but I don’t care much because it’s addressed to my Great Uncle Charlie at what was the family home in York, PA. I grew up with his picture on the wall, wore his tuxedo with tails one Halloween almost 40 years ago, sat at his library table to use the computer. I even had a notebook of his, with the I.O.O.F. March hand written in. Squee!

Here’s the postcard, and a picture of Uncle Charlie :joyful: 5981DADD-779A-4547-8E03-22EE2899EA51.jpeg

Ha! Buying back your own family clean-outs.

This is not quite the same. When my wife and I were at a thrift shop, she would often show me something and say that it's nice. I would say that's because we once owned it. :D

Curious, did you search his name connected with items for sale, or was this just an amazing coincidence? Pretty cool either way!

I was searching for anything with the last name. I was a little surprised that I didn’t find more, honestly.

New additions to my Fenton collection. Luckily, they are small, because the shelf is getting very full. :) The pearlescent fawn, bell and bird.

    The start of today's clearance.

    No antiques yet.

Around £50 in cash, bottles of Irish and Scotch Whiskey, Gin, Cognac, Tequila,Vermouth.
    2 Zippos and Seiko Chronograph.

I'm sampling the Laphroaig, on the rocks, as I type.

    More to remove tomorrow.
