Yeah, duh, if I had known what a goof nut she was I would have called as soon as I saw the listing. She didn't know costume from fine. Evidently others didn't, either. There was an Art Deco multi-strand coral branch necklace I wanted with a brass box clasp, and a Victorian pearl locket and a jade pendant in the pictures in the costume jewelry. Her prices were all over the place, too much for some things, dirt cheap for other things. The citrine necklace may have been shorter- it appears some off beads were added at the end near the clasp, testing as glass. All others test as citrine, light and dark, and the clear spacers test as quartz/rock crystal. The strand is 18 inches and fits me beautifully. :)

I'll bet once folks saw her pics that they pressed her to let them come early....

Dug out some older finds...found these bohemian vases at Goodwill a couple years back - they are 12" tall and about to go on Ebay.

Great finds at the estate sale, Cx. I really like the MCM burlap picture with the Native Salmon design. I think you have some great resale items there.

Marko, awesome score on the necklaces.

Aaron, I'm going to have to dig out old finds as well... not much turning up here yet. Good luck on the sale.

Wowzer on the saltwater strand. Is that a 14k clasp? How long is that strand? Can we see that separately?

DSCF4268.JPG Yep - 14k clasp on those. Not sure if they're good cultured freshwaters or salt water pearls. The perles cercles are freshwater of course. This is a different string I've had around forever. Freshwaters, but I'm not even sure how long it is. Weighs a ton, too.

Here's the one you asked about. I didn't measure it, but it's somewhere in the 16-18 inch range. DSCF4334.JPG

I have never seen a double-heart clasp like that. The pearls have a nice luster.

At least they're not dusty, musty or rusty. I've gotten rusty jewelry before; my reaction wasn't as pretty as the pearls.

Found this bad boy in my stash recently. The curved pieces around the outside are cut steel. The center part is black amethyst glass - hold it up to the light and you see the purple. It looks black otherwise, but...whoopsie. Not sure what the metal is and almost don't care. I think it's 1870s mourning jewelry, but the date could be off.

Got this at the thrift store yesterday. Obviously vintage, before France gave up its colonies in North Africa. Really like old maps and stuff and it was inexpensive. Made in Japan.

    Indeed!
But I think yo can narrow it even more, when seeing the frontiers of Germany; post 1920 and before 1939.

I would even say 1938 to 1939, as it seems the Anschluss all ready was a fact.
