BMRT Jewelry cherry-picker, lover of silver

Found this opal carved into the shape of a rose. Back is cradled in a 14k brooch/pendant setup and “PR” is stamped on it. I suspect those are real little diamonds but I haven’t trotted out to get it looked at by a jeweler. The purple shift is very strong. 8CB66751-B3EF-4D81-9110-5F4870635C4F.jpeg

A silver ring with an abalone blister. Unmarked. 80873D67-3738-4530-8180-5CF0349B8DF1.jpeg

Another silver ring with whitish cat-eye stones I do not recognize. No clue what the middle one is either. No marks. AEE9E7A1-6D58-41F6-875A-7442BB312496.jpeg

Sadly the last one is missing his little fist but it’s still popping up on my wall. The backs of all of them have this same small mark.

BMRT, you find the most beautiful things.

I just did some photographing. I will start with non-jewelry items.

I loved these photographs. The one with the little girl is an old Atlantic City boardwalk postcard, a whole dollar. I couldn't leave them at the antique show.
    AC boardwalk postcard (391x640).jpg
This one was at the antique mall outing last weekend. The inscriptions says it is someone's mother who won a Halloween contest dressed as Mae West, dated 1950. I think it's John Belushi's grandmother.

Some jewelry now. I only went to the flea market last weekend for hot dogs with fried onions and Amish donuts. There were a few people outside, including hunters, but they missed this. It's a HSN or QVC piece, sterling and marcasites on a stretchy choker. The bottom detaches and can be worn as a pendant. A dollah.

From the antique mall, this is not a brooch, but a Beau sterling ring. $5.
    Sterling marcasite basket ring (640x640).jpg
Antique mall again, this is a base metal adjustable iris glass ring. $5.

D & E aurora borealis clamper bracele D & E AB clam[er (640x378).jpg t. Missing four small stones, should be an easy fix, discounted to $9, thrift shop.

    Thank you

I love seeing what they wore in older photographs. Imagine if we could see them in color?

Two more.... I loved this plastic brooch. It has a C clasp, and I thought it was red, white, and black, loved it even more when I saw it in the sunlight and found out it is red, white, and blue. Antique mall, it must have been $5 day.

And lastly, this is a Diamonique piece from Nancy Davis. It is sterling and CZ, a whole $2 in the original box from my consignment shop guy. It is my size, a 7. Diamonique ND (449x640).jpg

Thank you! I think my old Samsung just takes really good pics, but not as good as my older Samsung 3 did.

BMRT, that Native American ring.... do you think the stones may be Mother of Pearl? I am seeing glints in them that look like that, the stone looks like a small ruby, could be real or synthetic.... leaning towards real.

You know, perhaps your right. I have a few MOP items I don’t know why it didn’t cross my mind.

I only found three pieces today but ... oh my. One is my favorite - copper, this one with a mid-century Asian feel to it. The earrings are jade with probable 14k findings. The other bracelet ... purple reverse-carved lucite. Cut to clear and reverse painted. Even my mom didn't say "What did you buy that for." She tried it on. :joyful::joyful:

I did know, and I've totally forgotten. Gah. It's something to do with the local warden region or something. I'll update when I remember. ;) Sorry!

Struck out on two estate sales this morning but the third was wonderful. Everything was priced to disappear and I wish we would have gone to it first instead of 3 hours after it began!
