Today's finds - two glass paperweights. I'll have to ask the glassies later if they can read the siggie on the egg. All I can read is 1998. The apple says Anton Intaglio - impressions by Anton or some such. Total cost $1.50. My grandfather's name was Anton, so odds are one cousin or another will end up with the apple. DSCF3178.JPG

My grandfather's name was Anton, also!!!! And my dad named my brother Anton! Was his nickname Tony? That's my brother's nickname. :) When we were kids, we called him Antwerp, now it's just Antfarm.

Grandpa was from what's now Poland, so no Tony. That's my cousin-in-law; he's technically Antal (Hungarian version of same) but close enough. My grandfather didn't have a nickname that I know of.

Not a whole bunch but the collection of sterling picture frames continues to grow. 925 with some type of wood backing. The glass was missing but should be easy to replace. 54D5EC96-D2C1-4E0A-8451-FE9C69E16157.jpeg

I also managed to find this small spider. It’s marked 925 with another mark that requires investigation. :pompous: It’s body has the remnants of a gold wash that’s completely gone off the legs and the larger portions of the body.

This little locket that is marked sterling on the loop and no marks anywhere else. It’s gold washed and the enamel design made me think of a little bug. 16D2EA14-E4A3-4DD0-B9BB-94B1F65518C4.jpeg

I buy cheap - a few pence - picture frames at car boots simply so that I have glass for good ones.

Looks like it might be the 6" ashtray in the Honfleur pattern.

    https://www.replacements.com/webquote/clqhon.htm

However if was mine, the first person who tried to use it as an ashtray would end up with that ciggie in a totally different orifice. ;):p:p:eek::eek: :hilarious::hilarious:

    Nice find!! :D:D

I got this Chinese rug in the latest clearance.

I get quite a few but they are usually poor quality or dirty.

This one is extra thick and very clean so I brought it home and laid it.

Only lasted 5 minutes and its been claimed by my old dog.
She knows quality when she feels it:D

Early Victorian Tea Table from the previous clearance, around 1840.

Its a flip over but has a warp in one corner which will need damping and clamping.

Surprisingly these are not worth a great deal.

I got this large heavy pipe threading die from the garage.
The two bars are for turning it.

    Phone for size comparison.

This was black and in the rubbish bags in the garage, disposed of by the relatives.

I polished it up, its an Arab Dhow, 170grams of 900 silver :D

Ignorance I think, it was black and looked like tarnished silver plate.
When I polished it I found two Arabic marks and 9..

I could use a bit of rubbish like that! Did you check the rest of the trash to make sure they hadn't thrown out "the plate" while they were at it? Or maybe the gold bricks?

In the words of the Prophet... oops!
