I knew a bloke ran the tip at Slough. He'd get people bringing in almost new bikes, and dumping all sorts of stuff. He made a ruddy fortune.

One heck of a jam to have time to do that. Can imagine the looks you got from other passengers.

Davey, What is the ring with the ornate shoulders & what looks like a flat, pale green face, second row, third from left?

That is a coin ring, its a 50% silver Threepence, the pale green might be verdigris.
    Its a scrapper.

Jealous ones, if they were like me.(LOL) Those were the days when oriental rugs sold for real money.

Added to the hoard: Pair of Rookwood Bookends. My pictures are a bit lacking, these are absolutely lovely to view and hold in person! Made room in a barrister bookcase for them.

    Hi Joe,
I absolutely adore your book ends!!! most of the Rookwood that I have handled has been vases, I never saw a set of book ends.

@Joe2007 just curious: what year were your Rookwood bookends made? They are beautiful!

Found these newer Fenton Anniversary pieces -1995 and 1996. I thought they were very pretty, so I thought I would share.
