federal sideboard

    Those sand-burned bellflowers make my nose twitch, and I'm not anyone's idea of a furniture expert. The latches on the sideboard have been around a while, but you have to wonder when you see a suite of furniture made to look early 19th century and still together.

    brasses have sold from 150-1000+ each. looks like the original brasses for the piece. a more recent cracked varnish in just about every crevice gives it that late 19th look, but thinking now presidential period might be right. i'll have good photos of it eventually.
