<p>
I've passed this piece up for the past few years. It has a companion boy with the same mark. Everything just seems too crisp, including the mark. According to this resource, this mark which is mistakenly attributed to Royal Vienna, is actually an Erdmann Schlegelmilch... mark - <a href="http://www.ebay.com/gds/Identify-Royal-Vienna-Fakes-on-eBay-Elsewhere-Part-I-/10000000000868445/g.html" target="_blank" class="externalLink ProxyLink" data-proxy-href="http://www.ebay.com/gds/Identify-Royal-Vienna-Fakes-on-eBay-Elsewhere-Part-I-/10000000000868445/g.html" rel="nofollow">http://www.ebay.com/gds/Identify-Royal-Vienna-Fakes-on-eBay-Elsewhere-Part-I-/10000000000868445/g.html</a> . When I research marks for Erdmann Schlegelmilch, I don't see this exact mark listed and the crown has a different design - <a href="http://www.porcelainmarksandmore.com/germany/thuringia/suhl-01/index.php" target="_blank" class="externalLink ProxyLink" data-proxy-href="http://www.porcelainmarksandmore.com/germany/thuringia/suhl-01/index.php" rel="nofollow">http://www.porcelainmarksandmore.com/germany/thuringia/suhl-01/index.php</a> . Any thoughts are greatly appreciated. The workmanship of the piece shown is very high quality, it just doesn't strike me as old. Thanks, Joe</p><p><br /></p><p>
</p><p><br /></p>
