I have horrid allergies to cigarette smoke, so it was touchy. Fortunately, it was summer and we could have the doors and windows open. That helped. As I said, we washed what we could and then moving it all to another venue helped. As everything &quot;looked&quot; better in a freshly painted house that didn&#039;t reek of smoke. Truly, it was probably the &quot;nastiest&quot; in terms of smell and grunge that we encountered.
