    Yes, I agree. I'm debating whether to donate to a museum.

    If you do donate, which museum do you have in mind?
    I know Nigeria has a new museum in which they hope to display the missing Benin bronzes.

    I haven't thought of a particular museum, athough, the homeland of the bells would be a good idea.

    However, I'm unsure if they'd be interested as the appraiser seems to think that they're not Benin bronzes, but come from a different culture, south east of the Benin Kingdom.

    I get the impression the museum is not specifically for the Benin bronzes, rather that the building has been calculated to house the Benin bronzes as well. Otherwise the museum would be sitting empty until the whole legal and political hassle is sorted.;)
    But it is possible that the museum already has plenty of these bells, since so many were found.
