My wife would indeed be interested to hear from you if you have one of her grandfathers' works! Apart from his commercial and architectural work before the war, I don't think he did prints as fine art. I wouldn't say he was best known for the four postcards he did for GWR, but for his involvment with the Wapping Group, his instructional works, and the development of 'Painting Holidays' with travel company [IMG] Galeon Painting Holidays that were popular after the war, I undestand this was his main career after the war . I'm not sure the Flickr link would really work these days , I'm also not sure how this forum works either .

He wrote these little books , I think they would have been better known than the four postcards for GWR that my wife didn't even know about until finding them on Flickr ! Used copies can be found easily on the internet so I believe that they had resonably broad distribution at the time.

Two of the pictures currently on that page is by 'Grandpa Swann' (Edward E. Swann, 1897-1978 ) but the other ones are by a different artist from an earlier period. (Edward A. Swan, 1800-1900 ) . Despite spelling changes within the family, no connection so far discovered . ('This England' and 'The Music Room' -- the latter is not his usual style but is from a commercial work he had done for purposes of architectural illustration , there's views of several different interior rooms with no people within .. whereas his usual subject choice for his artworks was for landscapes or landscapes offsetting
    with prominent attractive buildings )

They look to be by the same artist that has been identified in this thread, can you add a close up of the signature? His granddaughter's husband has commented above :)
