    I personally strongly believe that this golden parachute stuff is a scam perpetrated by a small group of "CEO"s who constantly move from one position to another. It's very lucrative even if your severance package is worth far less than the ebay guy's. We have several mid sized companies here who are always rotating CEOs in and out. They could save a bunch of money if they would stop paying at the end of their CEO's short but dismal tenures. They could hire me, and I'm absolutely certain I could do a better job. So could any one of you.
