Is backing away from Amazon these days, If it's not coming from the Amazon warehouse, FORGET IT! not happening with me. They are starting to get a lot of 3rd party sellers there which is problematic. Amazon covers any hanky panky but hey, not worth the hassle or my time. Would rather pay the 10 cents more with a different vendor.
I have gift card money sitting on Amazon, and one of my credit cards pays out in Amazon rewards. I do shop there sometimes since someone else is paying for it. Otherwise not so much.
Yep, times change, amazon was great 5 years ago but obviously slipping these days. Ebay OTOH was dead 10 years ago, at least! and are rather antique themselves!
They're still the only game in town for some collectibles, especially if your primary market is overseas for some of them. Some of my really gaudy costume jewelry goes to China or Russia for instance, and Trifari pieces often head to Italy.
Are you sure of that, would you bet your life ebay is the only option? Sometimes it's easier to just sit there and do today what you did yesterday rather than find another way that requires work, change is hard for humans. Meanwhile, just got a text from this comatose Cali goober "a couple of days or so from now"
I'd hate to tell the Goober, but the long an item is in transit the better the odds are of it being damaged. And damages cost shippers money. And about eBoo being the only game in town? I did say for "some" things. Not all, and not even close. A lot of my old jewelry sells to international buyers and said buyers use Ebay. For breakables? Sell elsewhere or in my case act like a picker and sell sub-wholesale to a local dealer who also sells locally.
This guy stashes loads in storage lockers, he doesn't ride around with it. That cupboard has been sitting in storage for 3 weeks now. Trying to put whole or as close to whole loads as he can I guess.
Don't know, doesn't watch TV much but, this has been a LONG TIME, in fairness, he did quote 2-3 weeks so he is kinda on schedule.
I didn't have much choice, my decade-long go-to shipper crapped out on me so I was left with goobers OR take a long ride in the Bling machine. Plus I am paying about TWICE as much as what I was from just a year ago for shipping. All in all not a happy camper about this recent shipping situation for furniture. It's always been a pain but now its a pain & expensive.
Yeah, shades of Kiko I see, thank god the cat lady isn't here!. Well, going to be awhile on that, it's going into first corner available CLOSEST to the front door! Placing pieces isn't so easy if you've been collecting for a while and almost always requires shuffling other pieces around. The good news is, it's a small cupboard, only 72.5 inches high.
