meanwhile, had 3 offers from shiply.com & 1 just now from CitizenShipper in the last several hours. Both are competitors of uship, never heard of them but hey, at this point I am desperate! HOPE SPRINGS ETERNAL!
If you do have to make the trip, and will need to rent a van, better call early for that. I know a lot of rental places sold their fleets during the pandemic to stay afloat. Also, a lot of people have been moving.
No issues there, I tool around in the Bling machine or as my son says, "a brick on wheels". Nissan NV 2500 SV or in more general terms, a 3/4 ton cargo van. I will need to unload a few tools but other than that, ready to rumble if I don't make a deal.
I drove Dodge 3/4 ton cargo vans for 30 years but when it was sold to Mercedes- Benz 10 years ago or so I BALKED at paying over 50k for a frigging work truck. UHHHHHHHHH NOOOOOOOOOOOO HELLLLLLLLLL NOOOOOOOOOOO It's a good truck, Benz ships the engine & powertrain to Freightliner ( which Benz also now owns) from Germany to Spartanburg SC where the cabs are built but, expensive. Switched to Nissan in 2012, one of my better decisions!
Yeah YEAH YEAH! Brick or not, it rides like a dream, is very comfy, is very quiet inside cab, has cruise control, onboard navigation, rear camera, integral Bluetooth and computer table with recharging power ports! EAT MY DUST! is all I am gonna say about that!
There are 2 kinds of people in this world, Those that make dust and, Those that eat dust! Take a GUESS! which side I am on!
well, the shipment is BOOKED, $709.99 WAY more than I wanted to pay but better than driving over 1800 miles round trip. Time is money & that would have been 2 maybe 3 days PLUS, a travel hangover
Back in the days when I traveled extensively to dog shows I would have had a use for it, tho 3/4 ton would have been over-kill for my use. I love the 'truck' looking front!
I like machines and mechanical things, I like cars and trucks, and I can pretend like maybe I can get one for my business some day. Now come on!
Yeah, 1/2 ton would be fine in that case, dogs are not real heavy. I on the other hand use mine primarily for tools, basically a big lockable toolbox so a 3/4 ton is absolutely needed as tools tend to be heavy.
Well, normally when my truck pulls up or is opened it's REQUIRED! to get out your pocketbook. As I am semi-retired I tend to CHERRY PICK jobs. translated that means I work for rich people pretty much. Are you rich? If not you have dialed a WRONG NUMBER! The point being, why hire a thoroughbred when a mule will do? No offense but the folks that hang in here would have trouble handling a mule, never mind a thoroughbred!
You SHOULD have asked earlier! when I was out getting it serviced for a road trip I am now not taking. Now, it's the hottest part of a Carolina dog day of summer type dealio and I am IN for the day. Or at least till this evening. I could open the second-floor window (where i am now) and take a snap but you couldn't see the inside.
