Co. </p><p><br /></p><p>The screen part fits over the newer looking brass &quot;tube&quot; &amp; was likely added at a later date to the burner by the original owner. I sold a ton of old lamp parts a few years back &amp; know from experience the buyers sometimes look for these type removable pieces. </p><p><br /></p><p>I did think it was a different way to attach the burner.
