Poor thumbs. Some years ago, in a weird episode of inflammation that led 2 rheumatologist to exclaim, I've never seen anything like it!, a bunch of my fingers developed arthritis. Except not where you would think: the thumbs & forefingers were not affected. And nothing productive came of it, not a single fabrication.
