OMG! What a beautiful kitty with amazing coloring and a luxurious coat!. My beloved cat Nero died last summer. He was long haired like yours. I miss my cat so much.

I have been doing tip number one for years and the funny part is he doesn't notice anything new because to him all antiques look alike. I have tried tip number two and he said the value means nothing to him because it isn't worth that much unless I sell it for that perceived value and get a buyer for it.

The only time he has ever realized that some of these antiques have value is when I bought an antique diary on ebay for $50 and ended up selling it for $4,000 and used the proceeds to pay for a semester of college for my daughter. Another time I found a rare Moser glass sugar casket box at a thrift shop for $25 and sold it for $1,850. He was was quite shocked with these sales, but still doesn't think any of these old things are worth collecting. Maybe one day I will hopefully get him interested in these old treasures.

I once told him he will be a big idiot if he dumps everything because antique pickers/dealers will grab all the stuff out of the dumpster and get a huge payday. He said good for them because he doesn't feel like bothering trying to sell all these things. He is as stubborn as a mule. Instead of bothering to tell him the values of my items anymore, I put tags on all my things with info and values and inform my teenage daughters that if I kick the bucket to take the stuff away before daddy throws it away. What a big dope, but I love him anyway, lol.

Aww, I didn't know her kitty passed. That is so sad. My kitty passed away last summer. I still cry because I miss him so much.

I love your attitude! It is refreshing to see someone who feels passionate about antiques. Those wooden antiques are so cool. Are they American Indian or African? I love antique Victorian wooden boxes. The ones I seem to gravitate the most to are Victorian wooden bottle boxes, boxes that held toiletries, fancy ladies things, and old wooden writing desks.

Can you show us more of your collection? I am intrigued to see more...
