<p>[QUOTE="Ladybranch, post: 96575, member: 44"]"two Danish blokes" is all I could come up with. I have looked off and on since seeing this query with no luck on the maker either. I also think "AV" because in Messi link (reply #3) the cross line on the "A" is visible. In Messi's link (reply #2) the mark is 2 Xs - not the same as in her other reply. I have found one other mention of silverplate marked with AV and Astrad. No pic of the mark is included:</p><p><a href="http://www.auctionzip.com/auction-lot/FOUR-PIECE-DANISH-SILVER-PLATED-COFFEE-SET,-c._0CA4580178/" target="_blank" class="externalLink ProxyLink" data-proxy-href="http://www.auctionzip.com/auction-lot/FOUR-PIECE-DANISH-SILVER-PLATED-COFFEE-SET,-c._0CA4580178/" rel="nofollow">http://www.auctionzip.com/auction-lot/FOUR-PIECE-DANISH-SILVER-PLATED-COFFEE-SET,-c._0CA4580178/</a></p><p>Scroll down to "1014-0477" "Four Piece Danish Silver Plated Coffee Set c1930's"</p><p><a href="http://ogallerie.com/auctions/2014-10/index_10.shtml" target="_blank" class="externalLink ProxyLink" data-proxy-href="http://ogallerie.com/auctions/2014-10/index_10.shtml" rel="nofollow">http://ogallerie.com/auctions/2014-10/index_10.shtml</a></p><p><br /></p><p>I looked at the listings of Danish silversmith's using the initials AV.
