Ain't that the truth.
Imazighen jewellery usually has red and blue, the magic colours. They love coral, amber, and to a lesser extent, carnelian. You can also see other local stones, like amazonite and azurite. And silver, a lot of it.

 

Experience.
My vote is 20th century. It looks like one I used to have from the 1920s, but yours could be a little later.
