Quick drive by...but wanted to say...yes! There are makers marks on the ones you mentioned:

    2. Trifari - googled it and found trifari.com. Mine is very much like one listed as patented May16, 1941 :)

    3. (@clutteredcloset49) labeled Benedikt NY

    4. Jeanne

~ Also, yes the large stones in #5 have a dinstinct "blue veil" very flashy! The small stones in between the larger ones look like garnets...or that color. They look very similar to these https://www.pinterest.com/pin/198369558558480732/

#14 is really heavy and beautiful...no marks I can find.

@bercrystal & @Lucille.b (and y'all...) I wish you lived next door too! I alternate between thankful and overwhelmed. I actually had I another life before I started opening these boxes!

    Thank you for your help!

All this jewelry came from my husbands Great Aunt. As I go through more of her belongings, it looks like she and her husband were pretty well connected in Mass & New York. I came across a Christmas card from NYC Mayor LaGuardia yesterday...

You may want to save those type things also. I don't think they are collected as much as presidential ones, but you just never know. I sold one from the Trumans, & no it was not signed by them, for $700.00 a few years back.

If there is a copyright mark, it is after 1955.

LaGuardia is collected; they made a musical about Hizzoner a while ago, and his name is on the airport. People in the New York area or from New York still want things connected with him.

Almost certainly worth listing, but brings up a point I was meaning to share on these forums.

When a seller accepts a "Best Offer" --which was true for this letter, the auction for some reason shows "Sold" at the original asking price of $239, without indicating that a Best Offer was accepted. I don't think it used to be like this, Ebay has changed something.

If you search "LaGuardia letters" under Ebay completed, you will find several that sold for around $19, and this one (possibly more interesting--did not compare the auctions other than their titles) sold for Best Offer with an original asking price of $239. The Best Offer could have been anything from $1 to $238.

Just something to keep in mind. Definitely worth listing, but hard to say what the final value will be.

The seller accepted a $175.00 offer.

ebay listings have an item # on the right hand side just above the description, copy that and go to http://www.watchcount.com/ enter the # in keyword and presto there the selling price. At least that's the way I do it.

Peggy, is that your trick as well? I used to be able to click on "print" on the sold auction page and the "Best Offer" price would show, but then Ebay removed the print button, a real pain. Curious if there is a way to do it while still on the page. All tips appreciated. And thanks for the clarification on final value. :):):)

Very helpful info, Coreya. At least a workaround on another site. Will definitely add that to my bag of tricks. :pompous:

$175 certainly isn't pocket change, but there seems to be a spread of prices for these, from $16.50 on up. Hope Melissa's is one of the desirable ones!
