got a responce back and here it is, congrats!!!! Good morning Corey. Thank you for your email about the Johnson - Humphrey bottle. Congratulations! You do indeed have a bottle not listed in my Last Links to the Past book! What you have is a self-produced Clevenger commemorative bottle, meaning it was done by Clevenger owner Jim Travis for the company to sell and not made for a specific customer. As such, Travis did not keep track of these bottles in the customer order book he had. (A copy of several pages from this ledger are attached.) The existence of your bottle does not surprise me. I found a #51 plate using the same Hubert Humphrey slug plate image shortly after my book came out. Since there was also a similar Nixon / Agnew bottle produced, your bottle would fit the pattern of what Travis would make for his own uses. Since your bottle has a pontil mark, you can assume it was made in the 1970s. After 1992, Travis failed to continue adding to the order book. I tried to create a list of items made after that by going through his inventory of the extras he made of every order. That way if there was damage during shipping, he could just send him the extras instead of giving them a refund! Whether I found examples of every order is unknown. In later years Travis was not exactly helpful with this information. Hope this helps. I will keep a note of your discovery. All the best, Tom Haunton
