heres a couple of closer shots, looks like maybe a grain on back shoulder ?

 

Looks like it to me. Would be very surprised if this turned out to be resin/cast.

 

As you cannot look at the base, try looking under her skirt with a loop . You might be able to see rings or pores, which would indicate wood.

 

Zooming in on the shoulder pic sure looks like boxwood endgrain.

but i give it a go, just for curiosities sake

 

If someone was able to, and had the determination to, fake those end grain striations on the shoulder, they deserve a gold star. I would bet my house on wood

 

and first place in this years annual fake Chinese resin reproduction goes to...........

 

She is lovely, charlie. And another vote for boxwood, especially after the second lot of photos.
It looks like she is carrying a 'sheng', a Chinese musical instrument.

Looking under ladies' skirts, sniffing mountain lions' butts. I fear for the future of antiquers....
