Finishing the job: Table with mounting points, mounted stone with helper and lifting device, space between points and surface plate. We had planned to maneuver the lifter to align the three marks on underside of stone exactly over the three points on the table. Did not work, just couldn't adjust the lifter with heavy stone with any accuracy at all. So we had the sudden inspiration to see if one person could adjust the light aluminum table to line up the points and the marks, while the lifter remained in place. That worked perfectly and took about two minutes. I'm happy that hardware for points and table are all recycled items we had on hand here already. Soon I hope to find time to measure the actual flatness of the granite as-mounted.

First pic shows a little of the electro-hydraulic tipper we used to tip the stone on its side so we could mark the bottom without getting under the stone. The tipper's forks rotate clockwise (in this photo) up to 90 degrees, then it wasn't difficult for two people to waddle the stone, then resting on edge, on the machine and away from the forks to do the measuring and marking. The old tipper's wheel brake didn't seem to be working so we used the improvised brake, thin wood strips, visible in the photo.
