you say......it is a chair painted by Picasso but i'm having a hard time with proving it to the world.....

well, if that's what you say....then indeed you have to back it up with some sort of proof....

we're just a jolly group of minstrels , & not qualified to authenticate your assertions !

You need an expert , museum, or maybe Heffel's auction house.....

thanks komo I'm going to need it lol trust me i would be the first to call it a fake and dismiss it as a forgery if i could just find something to tell me it , so far it has passed every test i can put it throught . no fluorescent qualities , reverse color matching , the way he paints ,who else could have done this so perfect ,and why are there not more of them ,if i could do this i would be a lot of them out there .

Have you thought about having the paint analyzed to determine whether it is oil or acrylic? At the very least that will help in determining the age of the decoration which might have little to do with the age of the chair.

paint brush reverse color image 1.JPG paint brush reverse color image 2.JPG it's painted in vintage lead paint, chipping ,no fluorescent qualities under a four foot black light and it matches the others he did exactly . check this out in reverse color in (windows xp ) paint shop the colors match his , not an exact science , but close enough to warrant more investigation. it has been varnished by him or someone in order to protect it or make it safe too the touch as lead paint chipped and got into children's mouths and stuff banned in 78 . so far I can't seem to entice any expert into looking into it . they have said and i quote not interested when i asked why i got no thank you. it has his finger prints in it if i can verify it i'm set as the last piece of proof . the darn fingerprint pic is too large have to resize it

it is a labeled 1943/53 henderson chair and i would say the paint has been on since the chair was built as these pieces of wood were butted together when painted in my opinion

i can see now how he painted the thick outlines as he painted the seat black and then adds the other colors as needed and that's how the original was done as you can see on the star part the black kind of smears on the star and the same in my chair, again in my opinion lol at first i thought it was wear and tear until i saw the support beam was missing so it could never be used as a chair or so that it could spin while painted and maybe after as i think it has to spin to get a 3d image out of it just a theory right now

so i wrote (emailed ) todd fendos (the maker of the repos) and asked him " Hello i was wondering if you ever did Picasso's Dora Maar with bird on a chair for anyone in canada ?and he wrote back
    Hi Randy,
That probably is correct. I may be the only artist creating chairs like this. I have sent a few to Canada and I create more Picasso themed chairs that other. Just curious, have you seen one, or do you know the person who has it? My signature should be on the left side if you are sitting in the chair. Todd,
    I wrote back
yes i have it and i don't believe it is one of yours it
doesn't have any other signatures except
picasso's and sent pictures of it , he wrote back
That one is not mine...very cool chair. Congrats, Todd
