Featured Car boot and charity shop finds

If I didn't nab it first. Stuff from the London Olympics (either) is thin on the ground.

 

Hah. 2012 stuff is fairly common here, 1948, not.

Absolutely. The 1948 Olympics were very much make do and mend. Athletes put up in local hostels and homes even. A small number of the venues survive: Wembley Arena is really the only iconic one now. I'm a bit geeky about it.

Kind of what I figured. The 1939 and 1964 World's Fairs are a similar case. Anything from 1939 has an audience. The '64 ... it's going to struggle. (as for Atlanta, yeahwell.)

 

I see plenty of 2012 stuff at car boot sales and often wonder if I should pick it up. Then I decide I’m going to have been pushing up the daisies for a lot of years before it becomes collectable so I don’t bother
