My beautiful mother recently died. She had wonderful taste. I now have this pair of Bronze Bacchus Candelabra. She purchased them in Louisiana in 1985 from a very reputable dealer. The receipt says they are from 1820’s and I believe she paid about $900 for them. There is a small marking on both the left thighs It looks like an unfinished M with the numbers 0 2 underneath. (See pic) I can’t seem to find any information on this marking. The base is wood and has some wear and tear but looks like an easy refinish without compromising the pieces. Otherwise, they are both in very good condition. The little candle holders slip on small pins and the other pieces are held together by screws. Would love any help identifying these. Many thanks![/QUOTE]
