<p>[QUOTE="Ladybranch, post: 163261, member: 44"]The 5th pic of a soldier/officer says "Sholfield Bros. Westerly, R.I." on the bottom. The studio name is really spelt Scholfield. Either their name was misspelled on this CDV or they they changed the spelling of their surname. I found several CDV be Scholfield online. Some say E.A. Scholfield of Westerly, RI, E.A. Scholfield of Mystic River, Scholfield Bros. of Westerly, RI, etc.... Mystic, CT and Westerly, RI are a few miles apart. The CDVs by Scholfield are being dated "Civil War Era." Following are examples:</p><p><br /></p><p>Scholfield of Westerly, RI</p><p><a href="http://mystichistory.org/collectionsexhibit/vex3/4545ECE5-C1C8-47BB-B2EB-491584732464.htm" target="_blank" class="externalLink ProxyLink" data-proxy-href="http://mystichistory.org/collectionsexhibit/vex3/4545ECE5-C1C8-47BB-B2EB-491584732464.htm" rel="nofollow">http://mystichistory.org/collectionsexhibit/vex3/4545ECE5-C1C8-47BB-B2EB-491584732464.htm</a></p><p><br /></p><p>Scholfield Bros of Westerly, RI:</p><p><a href="http://mystichistory.org/collectionsexhibit/vex3/22EA10C8-1477-4646-B20E-345465381306.htm" target="_blank" class="externalLink ProxyLink" data-proxy-href="http://mystichistory.org/collectionsexhibit/vex3/22EA10C8-1477-4646-B20E-345465381306.htm" rel="nofollow">http://mystichistory.org/collectionsexhibit/vex3/22EA10C8-1477-4646-B20E-345465381306.htm</a></p><p><br /></p><p>Scholfield Bros. of Mystic.</p><p><a href="http://mystichistory.org/collectionsexhibit/vex3/8E52007D-9A90-4EB9-AE7C-602312552130.htm" target="_blank" class="externalLink ProxyLink" data-proxy-href="http://mystichistory.org/collectionsexhibit/vex3/8E52007D-9A90-4EB9-AE7C-602312552130.htm" rel="nofollow">http://mystichistory.org/collectionsexhibit/vex3/8E52007D-9A90-4EB9-AE7C-602312552130.htm</a></p><p><br /></p><p>Hold the phone!!!
