    Looking at it now, it does have some similarities to the necklace I posted a few days ago.

    Just a guess, 1950s.
    Yes, those are vinaigrettes. This pendant is to spread fragrance all the time. In the Middle East they also have filigree rings like that, I'll see if I can find one of mine.

    I agree, the little cannetille rosettes are similar, but those are found in many parts of the world. Jewellery can be very confusing and difficult to pin down to a region.:arghh: It should come with little flags.:D

    Hi,
    I had a rosary that was made of rose petals and cloves that were crushed together to form tiny beads. The aroma was still there after many years. The beads started to break apart so it was sold to some one who made it into other pieces.:oops:

    I've seen rosaries made of roses before, but could never afford them. (then again as a Protestant they wouldn't have done me much good anyway!)
