Featured Brooch / earring set, glass or stone?

I did notice the leaves were different and did find it interesting but they are so similar in every other way I didn’t think much about a marriage. The dangling part on the earrings I suppose is another nudge in that direction.

I always thought the tube construction pieces were rolled gold. Gilded I hadn’t thought of either. So many techniques for attaining the gold look without just using solid gold!

 

Yes, rolled gold is one of many gilding techniques, but not always used.
