Featured Bronze statue sells for $273,000 - auction estimate was $1000/1500

Im personally not that impressed by Sotheby's, at least in my dealings. I have a couple of 19th century Russian pieces that I contacted Sotheby's and Christies about after finding similar pieces in their sales records. Sotheby's came back and said the pieces werent worth enough for them to list (a few thousand), Christies sent me over a contract with a total estimate of $30k and a mail to address.
