I&#039;m guessing it may be by Berkey &amp; Gay of Grand Rapids; I&#039;ve seen pieces they&#039;ve done with this level of marquetry skill. There&#039;s an outside chance it could be from New York, i.e. Herter or Pottier &amp; Stymus, but given the remoteness of the location in the 1870s that would have been ALOT of shipping!</p><p><br /></p><p>Anyway, just sharing.
