I have a few books of Martien Coppens, although not the really rare ones like "Monster in de Peel". I am always looking for material of Eindhoven before 1800, although that is really scarce. These old pictures of Eindhoven are in my collection:

    That is great!:)
Do you happen to know of a map that shows the former lands of Mariënhaeghe? I was told our house was built on what used to be monastery land.
Now you're talking!:hilarious: Would the backdrop be part of the monastery ruin?

There is a book about the monestary (actually about a book that is written there) called Florarium temporum. In this book is also a chapter with the history of the monestary. I checked if there is a map with the lands belonging to the monestary, but it is not in this book unfortunately.

Yes I think so. When I relate the etching with the tower of the church it must be somewhere near the neo-gothic now (Jesus dare devil - Jesus waaghals as the locals call the large statue on top of the church).

I know of it, it was found again a couple of years ago, wasn't it?
That's the Paterskerk or Augustijnenkerk. Being old-fashioned I still call it by the old nickname, Jan-met-de-handjes.;) Jezus Waaghals is a pretty recent nickname, I believe it was coined by a journalist, not by locals.
