The only German words we knew were from War movies, silly to think of it. I'm sure Germany has a very rich and long term culture and artistic excellence.</p><p>We were aware of the conflicts in Europe and the horrible things that happened there in Bosnia. We also celebrated the fall of the Berlin wall, and the new freedom for some populations.</p><p>Now, we have a whole new set of concerns, violent terrorism, and it's consequences for many.
