It’s not about a random optician. The frames are either optical quality or they’re not. To the best of my knowledge there are no luxury sunglass online authenticators. The seller has to guarantee authenticity, they don’t have to prove it. If I were selling them and took them to my eye doctor he’d tell me in a second. That would be good enough for me as I would know I’m selling authentic product. Whether someone else questions that is another issue. It’s really the only way to authenticate designer sunglasses for online sale. Otherwise the best bet are the big resellers like TRR, Fashionphile, etc.

This is probably useless but here’s stamping on 528342F3-B4FA-4499-B8FA-FA62D9C212EC.jpeg ABACC60E-1E4C-491C-B753-9A70B151F963.jpeg a pair of my own older Chanel sunnies bought new by me.

Prescription lens can be mounted into a $25 sun glass frame from the local convenience store.

Respectfully you’re not listening to me. Yeah they can be BUT they shouldn’t as they’re not optical quality and an optician who makes glasses can immediately tell the difference.

Junk glasses won’t hold shape, temples definitely won’t hold and lenses can pop beside the junker frame possibly breaking during the process.

I’m done here-no more to add.
I’m passing along a free easy way to authenticate designer glasses and all can use the info or ignore it.

I do have experience and was considered a master optician. At one time frame I made thousands of eyeglasses.

In that case you would be able to see the construction and quality differences immediately in hand. I have no optical experience but I’ve yet to be fooled in hand.

The higher end fakes have gotten too good to do by photos for most pros which is why nany have stopped. Too many mistakes were made. In hand is another story.
