Aquitaine Is What It IS! But NEVER BORED!

BTW, whatever's on the fence appears different on one side than the other......the image isn't clear enough to define it though!!! IMHO!!!!

Looks like a garden lattice with a design at the top.

    It does.
Could it be some kind of love symbolism?

That’s the same as the button in the ad. As @Jivvy suggested, it could be the tops of two buttons welded or glued together. It leans towards that, due to the 2 curvatures on yours.

It seems to heavy to be even two buttons together unless they fill
    Middle with something?

Possibly filled, maybe that’s how they are adhered, but that’s just a possibility..feel free to explore other possibilities. If you find something, give us an update. :)

Yeah I’ll defiantly keep everyone updated, few people have said military tokens? But i think you’s could be right though, I’ll see what I can find, I’ve got loads of coins from 1800’s I need to do proper research for, thanks for everyone’s help

Agree, looks like two of those buttons were disassembled, each filled with molten lead or solder while face-down, then the backs were glued together. That’s the way I’d have made it anyway, if someone paid me enough to make me do it.

Always good to have your confirmation, I know very little about metalworking. :)

You could find out more if you took a sharp knife and pressed down carefully (don’t cut fingers!) on the line between the two halves. There’s a small chance there’s something valuable inside, and a big chance whatever’s in there is worthless.

Could it be part of a watch fob?
