    The ribbing up the side speaks of a walruses skin folds......but if you see a sea lion.....then who am i to say different !

    H*ly Cow!! I have a mystery possible inuit piece and I used the posted site and found my maker. Thanks! My figurine a loon, marked 5899 with a lower case e in script below and what looked a Jim in script. Turns out it,it is Thomos Oootook, e5899, born 1944. Very cool.

    I have something similar to yours. Same sort of stone with number underneath E 9877 anyway tracked mine down somehow ages ago to a Mary Okara Inupuk who was married to sculptor Johnny Inukpuk, inukjuac walkers, this may help you the artists all had their own numbers. It took me ages to find out about mine.
