Featured Any idea what this little cabinet would be used for?

I have two antique barley twist candlesticks, they would also go nicely with it. Come to think of it, there is a list of things that would go nicely with it.

I doubt they could ask it for theirs. Not unless they provided some real Jacobean magazines to go with it.
Yours is much nicer, older and much more unusual. But even so, you are not going to get that kind of money for it.

Taking old cabinets like these and making them into bars is all the rage now. You could put glass holders in the middle for wine goblets or even put a wine rack there and putt alcohol in the bottom part, wonderful how it swivels out.

 

Could it have been used in a Church? The swivel base would be a safe place for a Bible, scriptures or books? The flat top could have been used with a sloping book rest for an open text and the middle for religious objects like cups, plates etc. Or vice versa.

 

It would be the cutest bar! the middle shelf is the perfect height for wine and liquor bottles!
