Any experts on wood file cabinets

    Thanks to all for the replies. I think I will try and match the paint on the one drawer I have sanded and then clean and maybe wax the chest and see how that looks. I looked around for cleaning tips but nothing definitive on old dirty wood painted cabinets. Was thinking maybe wipe it down with mineral spirits and then a coat of paste wax. Some say murphys soap has oil that is bad for the bare wood spots. Maybe I am overthinking this. Not much to hurt on this thing but would like it to look nice enough to be inside the house.
