Featured Antiques Roadshow Tickets

The people who bought stuff they thought was worth a fortune, but instead it turns out to be a fake or a print or some such? I guess some folks would be embarrassed. They do put some fakes on camera on a regular basis. I'd love to see some of the ordinary things that come in too, lower value but maybe high interest. Some whatsits and whosits. Nothing embarassing about those.

 

Yeah I've noticed BBC AR does more "it's not the value, it's that this is cool" features. I do really enjoy those.

And yes! Maybe some segments on "these aren't lotto wins, but they're respectable payouts and something interesting/beautiful you can easily collect." Attainable goals lol.

I just can't imagine getting the chance to be on AR as a fan, getting pulled for camera assuming your payout is big, and the appraiser tells you it's a dud! And now everyone you know sees it!
